(Obviously the 2 different programs use different methods, so you can’t really compare “numbers” when moving sliders) I rather like RAWTherapee’s sharpening better than Lightroom, maybe it’s just my method of sharpening, but Lightroom seems to create an awful lot of sharpening artifacts. The +1.6 value is for “Edges” so I think it’s the one equivalent to Lightroom’s. Sharpening (Radius): +0.63 (or +1.6, I’m not sure which slider value to put, so I’ll put them both.Blacks: +2454 (Don’t ask me what those numbers stand for, I don’t know!) Rawtherapee has a slider to adjust for the pincushion or barrel distortion of a lens, which is useful if your camera or lens is not included in the lensfun.(I don’t know whether green/purple is the same, but I don’t think it is.) I've beat my head against it many times and made no real progress. Many people seem to like DarkTable, but I swear. Compare price, features, and reviews of the software side-by-side to make the best choice for your business. The three main programs I've been evaluating thus far are: Corel Aftershot Pro 3, DarkTable, and RawTherapee. I did set the blue/yellow WB to be the same in both programs, to keep the color tint about the same. I'm currently moving to a Ubuntu based system. Now, if you compare this comparison to my last one, these two photos are a lot more similar. darktable in 2022 by cost, reviews, features, integrations, deployment, target market, support options, trial offers, training options, years in business, region, and more using the chart below. First, here’s an un-edited shot exported from Lightroom… With a bit of organization, RawTherapee’s interface can be quite an efficient software. You can easily configure your workspace to display histograms, color toning tools, and adjustment levels with ease. This is the same RAW file processed with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7, and RAWTherapee 4.2.1. RawTherapee gives you quite a bit of useful tools with an interface you can tailor for the most organized layout. I’ve already posted a quick comparison on this thread, but I decided that I’d better start my own thread so I don’t hijack that one!

Death of a Thousand Cuts: A lot of the Bots are cheap, weak, and short-ranged.The unit description even says "death from above".Death from Above: Orbital Lasers take a while to build, but if the other side doesn't have anything to shoot them down.Cyber Cyclops: A few of the robots have this.Critical Existence Failure: Commanders can walk around just fine with next to no HP, but one hit over that and they turn into a mushroom cloud. And equally annoying if you're unlucky enough to have only unlocked vehicles at the time.It gets really sad when an AI puts all of it's resources into naval dominance of a planet with barely enough water to hold its base. Crippling Overspecialization: The AI opponents in Galactic Conquest mode have preferred strategies like swarms of aircraft or bots which are easily countered.Construct Additional Pylons: Completely justified in-game, as you're taking part in a rolling war where only the commanders travel to planets, use up all the resources and then move onto the next, requiring that they construct everything needed to wage war on-the-go.Colour Coded Armies: With no unit cap, this is the only way to have a hope of telling what's going on in any large battle. The new orbit does not have to be stable, or free of other planets. Colony Drop: The Halley Engine allows players to change the orbits of medium to small planets. The commander has the "Uber cannon", similar in function to the two predecessors.BFG: Several advanced buildings and units. The smallest of those can be equipped with engines. Baby Planet: All the planets seen are substantially smaller than would be stable spheres.Though with enough units, even a high-end computer will begin to crawl. Arbitrary Headcount Limit: Completely averted.Effectiveness varies greatly depending on what you need and the enemy has. Anti-Air: Every unit class and the defenses have 1-2 things capable shooting Air.If you're going to see it a lot (it's the name of the game after all), it might as well be spectacular! Apocalypse Wow: The dev team's goal, at any rate.Apocalypse How: All the way up to physical annihilation on a planetary scale, at least for small planets. After the End: "The Age of Humanity is long past.".The Manhattan is this too but slower, more expensive and has a nuke. To an extent, Commanders are this - upon dying, they explode in a nuclear fireball, and some games with multiple Commanders on a side would see a Commander just walking into an enemy base and suiciding, taking out half the base at the same time (this technique is called " Com Bomb" by the community and is now not as feasible anymore due to the much lower commander explosion damage). They do, however, explode when close enough to an enemy unit or building. Incredibly cheap, quick to produce, and with very low health, they have no actual armament.

That variation of Nordic culture is something Cyrodiil doesn't have. It's about the diversity: Whiterun and the Reach, the Pale and Eastmarch. It's about the Nordic ruins dotting the landscape, about the dragon walls. But Skyrim is so much more than that, something Bruma isn't and can never be. If you then ask why she's selling it, she appears puzzled: " Why not? It's not something you see up for sale very often, and I think there are plenty of Nords here in Bruma who'd like a little memento of their history." If you ask how business is going, she says: " It's doing well. So, I began to collect them as I adventured, and when I finally decided to settle down, I had quite an extensive stock." I went through my fair share of Nordic ruins back in those days, and I took a liking to the Ancient Nordic metalwork. I used to wander Skyrim in search of opportunity and adventure. Inquiring into her collection's provenance, will net you: " Many of them I collected during my adventuring days. Girl's honoring our ancestors." Indeed, Rilja's pride in her Nord heritage is evident when meeting her: " I'm proud of my ancestry, as should all Nords be.", " Here to browse my fine selection of Ancient Nordic items?" and " A slice of Nordic heritage, right here in Cyrodiil." Photo is by Jim HoldenĪn incoming storm has delayed the bridge's official opening, as the exposed island is unsafe in extremely windy weather, but when visitors can cross it they will be able to walk over a natural gap that hasn't been crossed in 500 years. The bridge took two weeks to assemble in situ. So it's existing technology but it's quite unusual in the UK," said Matthews. "It's quite a common way of stabilising cliffs, you see it done on high roads in the Alps. To anchor each side to the cliff, specialists used ropes to hang over the edge and drill supports into the rock face. The two steel cantilevers were fabricated off site and craned into place. The assembly process took just two weeks. The two cantilevers were built in Devon over the period of a year and transported to Cornwall in five-tonne pieces.Ī special cable crane was used to position each section as they were bolted into place. Local slate is stacked vertically to create the pathway. "And it created this gap for thermal expansion, which we decided to celebrate as something fun for people when they cross the footbridge," he added. Photo by Jim HoldenĬantilevers provided a solution that wouldn't require any temporary formwork during the construction process. "When you stand there you think, 'how on earth am I going to build a bridge here?'" said Matthews. Its remote clifftop location, the high winds that the site experiences, and development restrictions imposed by its historic and ecological significance made re-connecting the two halves of the castle a challenge. "So we took the same material, the slate, but used it in quite a fine and more modern way." There is a 40-millimetre gap in the middle of the bridge. "The footpaths either side are made of slate and quite rustic, and we felt that a very rustic finish on the bridge wasn't really appropriate," studio founder William Matthews told Dezeen. Reflected in an ornamental pool stretching majestically before it. Since then, the 19th century chateau's image has been The comprehensive reconstruction of the fermenting room and cellar, and renovation of the chateau, began in 1988. An architectural competition was launched in collaboration with the Paris Pompidou Centre to provide the estate with new operational buildings. In 1987 the estate was bought by AXA Millesimes, whose aim is to enable great wines from the vineyards with a glorious past to achieve their full potential. In 1933, the Pichon de Longueville family sold the property to the Bouteiller family, who managed the chateau for over 50 years. During the Universal Exhibition of 1855, the wine was classed as a Second Grand Cru Classe according to the ranking system requested by Emperor Napoleon III, who wished to showcase Bordeaux's great wines. This uniquely charming and romantic chateau, with its two emblematic turrets, has stood proudly at the vineyard's heart ever since. Baron Raoul was proud of his prestigious property, and in 1851 he commissioned the imposing chateau inspired by Renaissance architecture that we know today. The second section, belonging to his three sisters, became Pichon Comtesse. Baron Raoul Pichon de Longueville's section became the Pichon Baron estate. It remained in the same family for generations. An illustrious estate, with an enduring reputation, was born. These vines were part of his daughter Therese's dowry when she married Baron Jacques Pichon de Longueville in 1694, the year in which the Pichon Baron estate was founded. In 1689 Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan, an influential wine merchant and steward of the prestigious Latour and and Margaux estates, bought plots of vines close to the Latour estate to create Enclos Rauzan. This period was known as the Grand Siecle, or "great century", in reference to Louis XIV's 1661 accession to the French throne. The 1990 can be drunk now as well as over the next 25+ years. The Estate was founded in the late 17th Century. Ideally, readers should have both vintages in their cellars. It is far more fun to taste and drink (more hedonistic perhaps?) than the more structured, backward, yet exceptional 1989. On the palate, the wine offers sensational quantities of jammy fruit, glycerin, wood, and sweet tannin. It is equally concentrated, with a more evolved nose of cedar, black fruits, earth, minerals, and spices. The wine is opulent and flamboyant, with lower acidity, and noticeably less tannin than the 1989. The 1990 Pichon-Longueville-Baron exhibits more of the roasted overripeness of this vintage, but it manages to keep everything in perspective. Both the 19 vintages exhibit opaque, dense purple colors that suggest massive wines of considerable extraction and richness. I originally gave a one point preference to the 1989, and I am still convinced that ultimately that wine will last longer and hit a higher peak of pleasure than the 1990, but, wow, the 1990 is showing great. Until 3-4 months ago, the wine could have been purchased for under $400 a case, but that seems to have changed as the results of numerous tastings have pushed the price upward. "One of the finest values in top-class Bordeaux has been the 1990 Pichon-Longueville-Baron. Château Pichon-Longueville, Baron-Vintage 1990 You have to carefully manage the trains to make them productive and to avoid long dwell times. If a train is empty, when it arrives at a station, one colour of passengers will board, and if it stops at any other station, it will continue to pick up more passengers of the same colour. You have to deliver the right coloured passenger to their station, for example, red passengers have to be taken to a red station. Passengers and stations both come in four different colours: red, yellow, blue and purple. Conduct Together is easy to play but immensely difficult to master. This is basically Overcooked on train tracks. If any of the on-screen trains crash with another train or object, your game is over. But when you have four or five trains, it’s chaotic. Sounds fun and easy right? Maybe if you only had one or two trains. Each stage that you take part in has a target amount of passengers you have to successfully transport. The game play is simple, you have to manage your trains and collect passengers and deliver them to stations. The concept is simple, as the player you are acting as the train conductor, where you can control the track switches to send trains on their way, while at the same time you also control all the trains themselves. “The most important thing is communication and, above all, that we train together regularly.Conduct Together is a unique train management game that can be played by up to 4 players – quite suitable for the Nintendo Switch hype train that we’ve been riding on the last couple of years. “We saw a bit of the different processes between what we do, what the Americans do, and how all of it could blend together on the day of an accident,” said the French wing safety officer. The training opened avenues to pursue further training between Coalition partners to strengthen joint capability. Though the final report is not yet complete, and despite a few communication shortfalls, the exercise went well overall, said David. If it ever happens in the future, at least we have a general idea of how everything is going to happen.” “We train all the time so we don’t have to actually have to get into that situation without knowing what to do. “There’s a lot of workings that go into it, and I think practice is the main thing,” said Brad. The training was a challenge, especially because of language barriers, but it was also a valuable experience for him and his Airmen. Brad, team leader with the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron EOD flight, had not worked with French military members before, he said. We share the airfield, we share the mission, so we want to work as closely with them as we can.” “We try to deal as often as we can with Coalition partners. “This is developing relationships,” said David. However, this kind of training is key for the Coalition. The exercise was mainly organized by l’Armée de l’air, said Lt. These teams worked hand-in-hand with Coalition partners to get the situation under control. “This permits us to improve little by little by observing the entire chain of first responders.”ģ80th Air Expeditionary Wing personnel answered the simulated call with medical and EOD teams to multiple sites. “It was the first time everyone participated with multiple services, including medical teams, explosive ordnance disposal and security,” said the French wing safety officer. Its purpose was to test how effectively different components of the Coalition services were able to work together in the event of an aircraft crash. This was the first exercise of its kind at this location, said a wing safety officer with the French air force, or l’Armée de l’air. Members of the United States, French, Australian and other Coalition air forces recently participated in a joint crash response exercise at an undisclosed location here, May 16, 2017. |
